It’s about a month since New Mexico’s first case of covid-19. We are probably all going through some degree of upheaval – some more than others. Some have lost jobs or livelihood.

Thanks to proactive work by Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham and state government, New Mexico has so far had relatively few cases and deaths. But each one is a loss. Each one matters. They each deserve to be remembered as an individual, not one of a mass of casualties. And if you have lost any loved ones, you deserve the chance to say goodbye, to them and with others.
