KOAT Action 7 News and the Albuquerque Journal will host a debate Wednesday, October 21st with the candidates for the open U.S. Senate seat. The debate will include Democratic candidate Ben Ray Luján and Republican candidate Mark Ronchetti. Anchor Doug Fernandez will moderate with anchor Shelly Ribando and Albuquerque Journal senior editor Kent Walz issuing the questions. Ben Ray Luján is a Congressman in the 3rd Congressional District and Mark Ronchetti is a former television meteorologist. Both are seeking the seat Tom Udall held for 11 years after announcing his retirement last year.
